One of a series in my constellation paintings, all entirely from my imagination but inspired from looking at images of space in all its majesty. This has texture and an enticing light that may be the entrance to another world. This piece was sold literally within minutes of the exhibition being open. Acrylic on deep edge canvas, 30"x 24". All sizes are approximate. SOLD. In the private collection of Mr. Caxton.
One of a series of my space paintings, inspired by watching the night sky in different hemispheres. It is named because of the small blue and white moon just above the main large planet. I remember being in New Zealand, far from any town, right out in the countryside, late in the evening and looking up at the stars. My beautiful wife and I were transfixed at how clear they were and how many! away from light pollution of any kind, the sky seemed so full of stars and wonder. even at this mature stage in my life and having seen so many wonders in this world, we were just in awe of the superb sight above our heads. Something we shared and will treasure forever. Acrylic on deep edge canvas. SOLD. In the private collection of Mr & Mrs. Harvey.
Acrylic and mixed media on deep edge canvas. 30cm x 40cm. SOLD. In private U.K. collection.

A painting in my series of planets/constellations, one that is even more special to me as it was purchased by a much respected and talented fellow artist. There is no higher praise for one's work than when it is purchased by another artist, in my humble opinion. Acrylic on deep edge canvas. SOLD. In private U.K. collection.
Liquid Worlds. Another painting in the space series which I have been working on for future exhibitions. One in my space series. This one is a personal favourite of mine and is a gift to my wonderful, handsome grandson Oliver. Acrylic on canvas. 23cm X 30.5cm . NOT FOR SALE. In private family collection.
This is one of a series of paintings where I have been experimenting with texture, paint density and structure and control of the flow of pigments and their interaction with one another. Inspired by viewing images of galaxies and constellations, I wanted to create my own artwork depicting these wonderful and amazing phenomenon entirely from my own imagination. Acrylic on deep edge canvas. 35.5cm x 25cm. All sizes are approximate. Available for purchase. £120 +postage and packing. Please email me for further details.
This abstract was inspired by viewing photographs of constellations. However, I wanted to construct an image that was entirely of my own imagination. I developed over some considerable time of experimenting, a way of making not only the colours blend under some control, but also to provide texture and give the effect of a kind of electrical storm taking place. There is so much to "see" in this painting, different people had their favourite areas of the subject and it was well received and sold as soon as it was exhibited. Acrylic on deep edge gallery canvas. 50cm x 50cm. SOLD. In the private collection of Mr. & Mrs. Watts.
I so enjoyed making this painting, experimenting with different techniques with the textures of the planets, learning new things, even after all my years of painting as I hope to do every day. I planned a little, but as the painting progressed it seemed to talk to me and my mind and hands became one in the creation of this work. It is a favourite of my lovely lady wife (as are many of my works), however it is now in the private collection of an esteemed client and displayed in their new home. Acrylic on deep edge canvas. 30"x 24". SOLD. In the private collection of Mr & Mrs Harvey, U.K.
This was inspired when having a conversation with a great friend and she just uttered that phrase, as soon as I heard those words I knew there was a painting there somewhere! Acrylic on deep edge canvas. 30cm x 40cm. SOLD. In private U.K. collection
Inspired when walking in my garden and seeing the most beautiful spider's web glistening with dew. Trapped in the middle, a fly has met his end and can do nothing but await his fate. The spider, close by, will soon envelope the fly in silk and save the prize for a later repast. Mixed media on canvas. 20 in x 16 in. SOLD. In private UK collection.

Inspired by the poem by William Blake. I wanted to just hint at the form of the tigers at the bottom of the painting whilst maintaining the colours through into the forest background. This was a challenging painting to execute but has turned out to be a favourite. Acrylic on deep edge gallery canvas. Available for purchase, please contact me for details.
The inspiration for this was when I was snorkelling in beautiful warm clear waters in Australia and New Zealand with my family. The sea is full of life, fish of amazing shapes and colours, it is hard to believe that so much wonder exists just a few feet below the surface. Acrylic on deep edge canvas. 20" x 24". Inspired by memories of exploring rock pools both as a child and as an adult. The wonderful swirls of multicoloured seaweed and the sea creatures that took shelter therein. This is one of two paintings that I have donated to the Save Madeira Terraces & Madeira Lift Campaign (Brighton)
