A paddle steamer carrying passengers back from a pleasurable day out returns to harbour. Its last journey of the day, then being made ready for work on the morrow. Pleasure steamers like this were entertainment for holidaymakers many years ago, a time now sadly in the past, but remembered forever in this painting. Watercolour. 12in. x 10in. SOLD. A working tug, pictured from a moored Thames barge makes its way along the river, the outline of huge cranes beside the docks and the famous Tower bridge in the far distance.
